Moroni’s Camp was the temporary encampment Captain Moroni and Pahoran set up on the plains of Nephihah, near the city of Nephihah, after marching from Zarahemla to retake the city from the Lamanites (Alma 62:18). The Nephites pitched their tents there during the campaign against the Lamanites.
From this position Moroni tried to draw the Lamanites out to battle on the plains, but they refused. Moroni then scouted the city wall by night, found the Lamanite army camped on the east, and had his men lower themselves into the city on the west by cords and ladders, taking Nephihah by morning (Alma 62:19-26).
