The borders near the shore of the Red Sea through which Lehi fled with his family, coming “down by the borders near the shore of the Red Sea” and traveling “in the borders which are nearer the Red Sea” before the three days’ journey to the valley of Lemuel (1 Nephi 2:5-6). The company kept to these fertile borders again on the trek from Shazer (1 Nephi 16:14).
