Cannibalism in War

Cannibalism in War is the feeding or devouring of human flesh during the conflict described by Moroni. Lamanites slew the husbands and fathers of women and children, then “feed the women upon the flesh of their husbands, and the children upon the flesh of their fathers” (Moroni 9:8).

Moroni said the acts of his people in Moriantum exceeded those of the Lamanites. After taking many Lamanite daughters prisoner, they murdered and tortured them unto death, then “devour their flesh like unto wild beasts” and did so “for a token of bravery” (Moroni 9:9-10).
