Isles are places in the sea where scattered tribes and other people live. Nephi says that “the more part of all the tribes have been led away” and are “scattered to and fro upon the isles of the sea” (1 Nephi 22:4).
Jacob says that the Lord “has made the sea our path” and that his people are “upon an isle of the sea.” He adds that other isles “are inhabited also by our brethren” (2 Nephi 10:20-21).
The Lord says, “I remember those who are upon the isles of the sea.” Zenos says that the Lord will “remember the isles of the sea” while gathering the house of Israel from the four quarters of the earth (1 Nephi 19:10-16).
