Limhi's Tribute Wine

Limhi’s Tribute Wine is the wine king Limhi sent to the Lamanites as “the last tribute of wine.” Limhi’s people planned to pass through a secret pass while the Lamanite guards were “drunken and asleep” (Mosiah 22:6-7).

King Limhi “sent the tribute of wine to the Lamanites” and also sent “more wine, as a present unto them.” The Lamanites “did drink freely of the wine which king Limhi did send unto them” (Mosiah 22:10).

Limhi’s people then “did depart by night into the wilderness with their flocks and their herds.” They went round about the land of Shilom and bent their course toward Zarahemla, led by Ammon and his brethren (Mosiah 22:11).
