Rivers are bodies of water found by travelers and near the hill Cumorah. A people traveled “an exceedingly great distance” and came to “large bodies of water and many rivers” (Helaman 3:4).
Mormon and his people marched to Cumorah and pitched their tents around its hill, in “a land of many waters, rivers, and fountains” (Mormon 6:4). A speaker says, “I make their rivers a wilderness,” and their fish stink when the waters are dried up (2 Nephi 7:2).
