Aaron was a Jaredite, the son of Heth and grandson of Hearthom (Ether 10:31; Ether 1:16). Hearthom reigned twenty-four years before the kingdom was taken from him, and he spent the rest of his days in captivity (Ether 10:30).
Heth, Aaron, and Aaron’s son Amnigaddah each in turn lived their entire lives in captivity (Ether 10:31). The record gives no other details of Aaron’s life; he appears only in the genealogy that traces the line from Hearthom down through his descendants (Ether 1:15-16).
