암몬의 살인미수자

An unnamed Lamanite, one of the men who had stood at the waters of Sebus and scattered King Lamoni’s flocks, and whose brother had been slain by the sword of Ammon in that encounter (Alma 19:21-22). The episode falls in Nephite history around 90 B.C.

After Lamoni, his queen, his servants, and Ammon fell to the earth under the power of God, the Lamanitish woman Abish ran from house to house and the people assembled at the king’s house, where some argued the king had brought evil on his household by slaying the servants whose flocks were scattered at Sebus (Alma 19:16-20). Angry with Ammon over his slain brother, this man drew his sword and went forth to let it fall upon Ammon, who lay prostrate; as he lifted the sword to strike, he fell dead (Alma 19:22). When the multitude saw the man fall dead, fear came on them and they did not dare touch him or any of those who had fallen (Alma 19:24).
