Ethem was a Jaredite king, son of Ahah and father of Moron, who succeeded him (Ether 1:9). He obtained the kingdom and was wicked in his days (Ether 11:11). During his reign many prophets came and prophesied that the Lord would utterly destroy the people unless they repented of their iniquities (Ether 11:12). The people hardened their hearts and would not listen, and the prophets withdrew from among them (Ether 11:13). Ethem governed in wickedness all his days, and his son Moron reigned in his place and also did wickedly (Ether 11:14).
