Gidgiddonah was a Nephite military commander who led ten thousand men at the final battle at Cumorah, around AD 385. He and his entire ten thousand were killed: “And behold, the ten thousand of Gidgiddonah had fallen, and he also in the midst” (Mormon 6:13). His command was one of more than twenty such divisions of ten thousand that fell in the same battle, named by Mormon as he surveyed the dead from the hill Cumorah, alongside Mormon’s own ten thousand and those of his son Moroni, Lamah, Gilgal, Limhah, Jeneum, and others (Mormon 6:10-15).
