Gidgiddoni’s audience were the Nephite people who came to Gidgiddoni, the commander of all the Nephite armies, as the people gathered against the Gadianton robbers. They told him to pray to the Lord and proposed that the armies go up into the mountains and wilderness to fall upon the robbers and destroy them in their own lands (3 Nephi 3:20).
