Gilgal was a Nephite military commander who led a division of ten thousand soldiers at the final battle at the hill Cumorah, around A.D. 385. He is one of the captains Mormon lists by name alongside Lamah, Limhah, Jeneum, Gidgiddonah, and others, each leading ten thousand men. Gilgal fell in the battle with his entire ten thousand, and Mormon recorded the loss as he surveyed the dead from the top of the hill (Mormon 6:14).
