Kim was a Jaredite king, son of Morianton, whom he succeeded as king. He reigned eight years, after which his father, who had lived to a great age, died. Kim did not reign in righteousness and was not favored of the Lord (Ether 10:13).
His brother rose up in rebellion and brought him into captivity, where Kim remained the rest of his life. He fathered sons and daughters in captivity, and in his old age fathered Levi, after which he died (Ether 10:14). Levi served in captivity after his father’s death and later made war against the king of the land to obtain the kingdom for himself (Ether 10:15).
