Lib² was a late Jaredite king who took the throne by murdering his predecessor, Gilead, in a secret pass through a secret combination. He was a man of great stature, more than any other man among all the people (Ether 14:10).
In the first year of his reign, Coriantumr came up to the land of Moron and gave battle to Lib. Lib wounded Coriantumr in the arm, but Coriantumr’s army pressed forward and Lib fled to the seashore. There Lib gave battle again and drove Coriantumr’s army back to the wilderness of Akish, then pursued them to the plains of Agosh (Ether 14:11-15). At Agosh Coriantumr turned and fought Lib, striking him until he died (Ether 14:16).
After Lib’s death his brother Shiz took up the war against Coriantumr, overthrowing many cities, killing women and children, and burning the cities, until a fear of Shiz spread throughout the land (Ether 14:16-18).
