Luram is named once, in a letter Mormon wrote to his son Moroni near the end of the Nephite-Lamanite wars (Moroni 9:1). Reporting a battle the Nephites lost, Mormon lists Luram among the fallen, together with Archeantus and Emron, and adds that a great number of their choice men were also killed (Moroni 9:2). The record gives no further detail about him.
