Moronihah was one of the Nephite commanders who fell at the hill Cumorah, each leading ten thousand men, in the final battle against the Lamanites around AD 385 (Mormon 6:14). He is named alongside Lamah, Gilgal, Limhah, Jeneum, Cumenihah, Antionum, Shiblom, Shem, and Josh, all of whom died with their forces. Of the Nephite armies only twenty-four men survived, among them Mormon, who recorded the count of the fallen, and his son Moroni (Mormon 6:11, 15).
