Tubaloth was a Lamanite king, the son of Ammoron, who reigned around 51 B.C. Supposing that Coriantumr—a Nephite dissenter and descendant of Zarahemla of Mulekite lineage—could prevail against the Nephites by his strength and wisdom, Tubaloth stirred up his people, gathered his armies, and appointed Coriantumr to lead them down against the land of Zarahemla (Helaman 1:16-17). Coriantumr marched on the city so quickly that the Nephites had no time to assemble; he cut down the watch, took the whole city, and killed the chief judge Pacumeni, then pressed on toward Bountiful to seize the north. Moronihah sent Lehi to head off the Lamanites before they reached Bountiful, drove them into retreat, and met them again in battle near Zarahemla, where Coriantumr was killed and the Lamanites surrendered (Helaman 1:18-33). The record gives no further account of Tubaloth.
