Gallim is a town named once in the Book of Mormon, within Nephi’s quotation of Isaiah: “Lift up the voice, O daughter of Gallim; cause it to be heard unto Laish, O poor Anathoth” (2 Nephi 20:30; Isaiah 10:30). The verse belongs to Isaiah’s description of an advancing army marching on Jerusalem from the north, which passes through or alarms a string of nearby towns—Aiath, Migron, Michmash, Geba, Ramah, Gibeah, Gallim, Laish, Anathoth, Madmenah, Gebim, and Nob (2 Nephi 20:28-32). The call to “lift up the voice” is a cry of alarm raised as the army approaches.

The verse places Gallim near Anathoth and Laish (Laishah), north of Jerusalem. The Book of Mormon gives no further detail about the town or its inhabitants. Gallim is listed as one of the cities of Judah in the Septuagint version of Joshua 15:59, an entry absent from the Hebrew and King James text.
