Moths are creatures that “shall eat them up like a garment”. A worm “shall eat them like wool” (2 Nephi 8:8).
People are told, “Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and thieves break through and steal” (3 Nephi 13:19). They are also told, “lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt” (3 Nephi 13:20).
The fourth generation “will sell me for silver and for gold, and for that which moth doth corrupt and which thieves can break through and steal”. In that day, their works will be turned “upon their own heads” (3 Nephi 27:32).
