Revelation and prophecy are spiritual gifts associated with teaching and testimony. Alma “confined himself wholly to the high priesthood of the holy order of God, to the testimony of the word, according to the spirit of revelation and prophecy” after delivering the judgment-seat to Nephihah (Alma 4:20).
The sons of Mosiah gave themselves to “much prayer, and fasting” and had “the spirit of prophecy, and the spirit of revelation.” When they taught, they taught “with power and authority of God” (Alma 17:3).
