The holy prophets among King Benjamin’s people helped him restore order after a period of false Christs, who were silenced and punished according to their crimes (Words of Mormon 1:15), and after false prophets, false preachers and teachers, much contention, and many dissensions away to the Lamanites (Words of Mormon 1:16). These men spoke the word of God with power and authority and dealt sharply with the people because of their rebelliousness (Words of Mormon 1:17). With their help, Benjamin labored to establish peace in the land once more (Words of Mormon 1:18).
