The people of Moronihah were the Nephites under the command of Moronihah, son of Captain Moroni, in the thirty-ninth year of the reign of the judges, around 52 B.C. In that year some Nephite dissenters who had gone over to the Lamanites stirred them again to anger against the Nephites (Alma 63:14).
The Lamanites came down with a numerous army to war against the people of Moronihah, also called the army of Moronihah. They were beaten and driven back to their own lands, suffering great loss (Alma 63:15).
