Jacob, a Nephite prophet, recorded that he had seen angels who ministered to him and had heard the voice of the Lord speaking to him “from time to time” (Jacob 7:5). He gives this account while describing his confrontation with Sherem, who preached that there would be no Christ and sought to shake Jacob from his faith. Jacob states that because of these revelations and the things he had seen, he could not be shaken (Jacob 7:5).
