코리호어 골짜기와 땅

The land and valley of Corihor lay near the eastern seashore in the land northward, the setting of one of the closing battles of the Jaredite wars between Coriantumr and Shiz. After Shiz pursued Coriantumr eastward to the borders by the seashore and fought him for three days, the destruction among Shiz’s armies was so great that his people grew frightened and fled to the land of Corihor, sweeping off the inhabitants who would not join them (Ether 14:26-27).

Shiz’s army pitched its tents in the valley of Corihor, while Coriantumr pitched his in the valley of Shurr, near the hill Comnor. Coriantumr gathered his armies on the hill Comnor and sounded a trumpet to invite Shiz’s forces to battle. They came forth three times and were driven back each time, until the fighting grew severe and Shiz wounded Coriantumr, who lost his blood and was carried off as though dead. The losses on both sides were so great that Shiz halted the pursuit and returned to camp (Ether 14:28-31).
