Laban’s House is the house of Laban, a destination where Nephi and his brothers were commanded to seek records. The Lord commanded that they “go unto the house of Laban” and “bring them down hither into the wilderness” (1 Nephi 3:4).
Nephi and his brothers cast lots to determine who would enter the house, and “the lot fell upon Laman”. Laman went into the house and spoke with Laban while Laban “sat in his house” (1 Nephi 3:11).
Nephi and his brothers later “went up again unto the house of Laban” (1 Nephi 3:23). At night Nephi went toward the house after his brothers hid “without the walls” (1 Nephi 4:5).
