야렛인들의 집합 장소

The valley of Nimrod was the assembly point from which the Jaredites set out on their migration from the great tower, often identified with the Tower of Babel, toward a land “choice above all the lands of the earth” (Ether 1:42). The Lord directed the brother of Jared to go down into the valley, which lay northward, and promised to meet him there. Jared, his brother, and their families and friends descended into the valley, named after Nimrod the mighty hunter, bringing the flocks they had gathered (Ether 2:1).

In the valley the Lord came down and talked with the brother of Jared from within a cloud, so that the brother of Jared did not see him. The Lord commanded them to go forth into the wilderness, into a quarter where no man had been, and went before them, giving directions for their travel (Ether 2:4-5).
