Ogath was the place where the armies of Shiz pitched their tents after Coriantumr’s forces beat them and drove them in flight southward (Ether 15:10). It lay near the hill Ramah and south of the waters of Ripliancum, in the region of the final Jaredite battles recorded in the book of Ether. While the two armies were encamped, Coriantumr’s force pitched by the hill Ramah, and both sides gathered to themselves all the people on the face of the land who had not been slain, save Ether. For the space of four years they kept gathering, drawing in every available person and all the strength they could to prepare for the final conflict (Ether 15:14).
